On. July 26, 2021 I was HONORED to join the Alaska Air National Guard / 138th Refueling Wing on their mission helping to bring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels to Alaska. The team was scheduled to perform at the Eielson Air Force Base air show, but it is a long journey from the mainland U.S., so the 138th flew one of their many KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft to meet the Blues near Vancouver and provide aerial refueling for all 7 of the team's F/A-18 Super Hornet jets, as they flew en route to Fairbanks. 

It was an incredible experience and a bucket-list assignment for me, and on my birthday no less! I am still pinching myself.
