Debut of SpaceX's new "Block 5" Falcon-9 rocket on May 10, 2018, the culmination of years of development on the Falcon-9 on the path to a rapidly reusable and much cheaper option for launching payload to space. A rocket that can be flown 10 times before needing any refurbishment, and 100 flights before retiring.
This first rocket launched the Bangabandhu-1 satellite for Bangladesh, but more importantly, its debut marked a major milestone in returning human spaceflight to American soil, because NASA will soon certify the "Block 5" to launch astronauts to space on.
