With Endeavour's transition and retirement processing complete the orbiter switched places with Atlantis in the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) to await her September 17 departure to Los Angeles. The move brought both shuttles "nose-to-nose" one final time, and NASA gave me some one-on-one time with their youngest shuttle after the move.

These images represent her final days with NASA at the Kennedy Space Center, waiting for her final journey in the same building where she prepared to launch on 25 missions.  Endeavour is now on display at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
