The launch of NASA's TDRS-K satellite January 30, 2013, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The 4,000 pound spacecraft, launched atop a United Launch Alliance Atlas-V rocket, is the first in the next generation of space communications between Earth and the International Space Station, as well as the Hubble Space Telescope and many satellites.
