The launch of NASA's newest Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS-L) atop a United Launch Alliance Atlas-V rocket on Jan. 23, 2014.  The next generation communications satellite will join a family of others to allow continuous contact with orbiting spacecraft like the International Space Station, Hubble Space Telescope, and various satellites.
